Pacman sideart - Blue dot speckles
« on: September 28, 2006, 12:50:23 am »
I was thinking that, while I set about restoring my original Pacman, I should probably ask people in here if they've ever attempted to re-create the blue dot/specks on the cabinet's sides? Is it worth it?

It's nagging at me that, if I'm gonna be true to the original, then the dots should be included too.

Any input? Successful methods?

The few i've done in the past I used a stiff bristled paintbrush and dipped it in thinned blue paint.. then holding the brush straight up, pull the bristles toward you until they 'flip' forward.  After some practice you'll get just the right flip to recreate the dots..

Thanks for tip, pretty much the method I was going to employ, but ya, lots of practice first.

BTW prOk...just waiting for your cooperative-project over on the 'redraw' thread to complete, then I will be contacting you to see if you can do some laser-cutting for me.
