Where to buy a slot cutting bit in the UK?
« on: September 27, 2006, 01:45:45 pm »
I have been to 3 different major DIY chain stores, they dont sell them, I have been to at least 4 smaller so called specialist tool suppliers and they don't sell them either.
I've looked on ebay and theres none on there !!
Anyone in the UK know where the hell I can buy a slot cutting bit? My T-molding arrived today and I really want to get on as my progress has slowed to a standstill

I have the same problem, but in the Netherlands. It's un-be-liev-able! Today I went to the Gamma, Praxis, Hornbach and such (chain stores, like DIY in the UK), but no luck. They even say it's totally impossible to make a groove like that.  :hissy:
Well, I'm open minded for any good suggestions. I might ask a local furniture plant.

Ordered the T-molding and the cutter at tmolding.com. The best part is that a friend is bringing it over to Holland!

A word about tmolding.com... they are really helpfull and very quick in their responses on e-mail! :applaud:  :applaud:

I bought my T molding from dream arcades but couldn't get the bit until I knew the size of the T-molding so I had to wait for it to arrive.
I suppose all these things will happen on the first build, once I have all the tools etc the next cab will be much quicker :)
