sounds like you need to replace some or all the electrolitic capacitors on the monitor chassis, what make and model number is it?

By flickering i mean that the screen is not 100% solid or stable. It has minor shaking or flickering whatever u say .... when there is no game attached the monitor is green and it has vertical black lines.Yes picture gets larger and smaller too sometimes.....

my monitor has 7 pots for adjustment
Horizontal Position, Vertical Position, Horizontal Hold, Vertical Hold, Vertical Height, Brightness and the 7th one is not performing any function....I cannot do stretch and shrink of the horizontal size .....any idea about this does my monitor lack this feature or is it something else ?

horizontal size-if its a ktm-f chassis there is a cap next to the flyback that causes this fault, trouble is last time i worked on this chassis was about 10 years ago so i can't remember the component position number but i'm pretty sure its a 22uf 250volt cap
otherwise it will be a faulty pot, width coil broken or a transistor that controls the width-like i said all depends on the chassis model number
you should do the full cap kit

thanks grantspain , The problem is that i bought a used chassis and tube ...i don't have the box in which the chassis came so i don't know the model no. .... i am not sure if the model no. is written anywhere on the chassis itself or not but the chassis does have the name kortek on it.

thanks a lot man i found my monitor on the jomac site
http://www.jomac.net.au/Kortek20_VLT.JPG

Kortek KTM-F20

Is that h-width which is for the shrink and stretch horizontally ?

Can you tell me what ohms are those 7 white pots ?

you may be able to get the width coil to bring in your picture a little but i doubt it(because the cap is a common fault),also you need to use a plastic trim tool otherwise you will shatter the ferrite core of the coil and then you will have to replace that as well
blimey my memory's not that good for the value of the pots-all the pots have some very small writing on them telling you the resistance value of the individual pot BUT that pot is not faulty it your cap,its a very small electrolitic(looking from the top) next to the flyback inside the metal cage,i think its the only electrolitic around there

the problem is that all the pots are very rusty and dirty ... i can't even read what ohms it is :(
