if you want see if it just works then wire directly onto a mains plug and plug in,if it works then great-if it trips your electric then its not great, but you can't leave it like that and its not safe or professional
i ain't got a clue how to use paint shop either but i am bloody fantastic at fixing electronics
btw live is brown and you only need to fuse that wire but if your just checking then its not necessary

david656:
i new i was missing summit

rite so all i got to do is get a plug bung a 1 amp fuse into the fuse bit with the brown wire and but the blue wire into the neutral part and a big fat earth into the earth part of the plug. ok so that makes sense but i do no its un professinal but i will atmit im 14 should now be in bed but am on ere lol!!! so as long as i don't explod into mid air just to see if it works your saying that should work.

well i have a fire extigusher and a surge protector hopefully that should make it safe enough :dizzy:

rite gtg school omg

:laugh2:,its a very young age to get involved with this sort of stuff can't your dad help?
when you are checking things on a temporary measure then you need not worry about the earth and the added fuse protection as once you prove the fan works then there is no need to keep the wiring/setup the same
if you want to proceed with this cab then,in my opinion, the fan is the least of your worries and for me it would have one of the last things to fit
if i could give you some advice then read as many threads on mame, monitors etc,etc-make a plan of exactly what you want your machine to do and don't be afraid of set backs-to be honest the only thing that is bit scary is the monitor situation, but you should deal with that when you get to it and with the fantastic advice on offer here on this brilliant forum you should be able to confront and overcome all the future problems
