The
Nintendo games themselves have the inverted color signal ouput.
The 20EZ chassis input was actually factory modified to accept those Nintendo signals.
(so you're right there)
The inverter board is there so that it can accept all
other games. Put it back to normal. (so you actually want to use it, not bypass it)
You can actually get the parts and put them back on the chassis itself and then no longer need the inverter board for regular games, but then it will not work with Nintendo games at all. (so I never reccomend doing that)

IS actually being bypassed aside from the three color pots.
The electronics portion of the inverter board is only functioning when used in the INVERT OUT selection. (regular games)
