Uneven t-mold router slot fix?
amerish:
If its MDF, just gather up a bunch of saw dust, mix with glue to a thin consistency, fill in the crack and let dry, then have another try with the router.
southpaw13:
Fill it with MinWax wood filler. Comes in a can with a hardening agent. Dries is 30 min. Strong as can be. I have used this stuff to fill some pretty big mistakes and it works like magic...
bleemus:
The wood is 3/4, so I'm not sure that the offset t-mold will work. Nonetheless, I ordered a sample of the 13/16 offset, 13/16 lipped, and 3/4 normal.
We'll see how they fit without any "editing". I figure if the offset doesn't work, the 13/16 lipped might hide that one side is wider a bit better. And the offset might be small enough that the 3/4 will be good enough.
If that doesn't work, I'll probably try out breakers idea, seems that it would fill it in much better than just normal bondo would, and might be easier to do.
