Uneven t-mold router slot fix?
bleemus:
After taking the t-mold off of the Klax Cabinet I am refurbishing, as leapinlew had warned me when he saw it, the router slot is off center.
We were thinking that I might fill it in with bondo and sand it smooth and reroute the slot so I don't have to trim some wider t-mold and have it look like crap?
Anyone else have any ideas? Bondo fill seems the best option to me.

From your post I'm assuming that normal width t-molding doesn't quite cover the wood on one side of the slot?
If so, could you possibly use a router with a roundover bit to put a curved edge on the remainder. It would still look sub-standard but at least the rough edge is gone.
Breaker:
Hi Bleemus,
I ran into the same problem when I inadvertantly routed part of my control panel's edge off center.
I tried the filler method without great success and would therefore recommend fabricating (or purchasing) some wooden strips which fit in the slot, securing them with glue. Once dry, sand/route flush with the edge and then proceed to re-doing the t-slot.
Breaker.
Kevin Mullins:
Some places do carry "offset" t-molding.
Not sure what colors it comes in though.
Have you looked at any of those yet?
leapinlew:
They carry some offset stuff at t-molding.com in 13/16th. Not sure how that would look. Perhaps order a sample and see how it fits
