bubble bobble jamma loom

that was the most tricky jamma loom i ever done. so many cables and connections, what a nightmare  
first the pcb, look at that logo    is that cool or what ? 



this is the  pcb and jamma loom i build:





here you can have an idea of what is going on  
3 connectors :
1 for the controls
1 for +5
1 for the power +12 -5 and some +5v of course  

you can see the 44 pin connector the 36 pin and 12 pin



here you can see on a better angle the tones of cables to make that sucker work 
  it look like a SPACE STATION

Here's the pic of one I made.  It cost a little more but I like this kind better.  And yes those are the connectors cut from an old PC powersupply.

where is the 36 pin ?

You don't need it.  IIrc it only uses the gnd and +5 on the ends of the connector and the boards are interconnected anyway.  I suppose if your powersupply was running a little on the low side to start with the extra voltage drop might cause problems but it hasn't for me.

when i tried my board without the 36 pin, didnt work at all ....
it work after i connect it...

well , what matter the most, is the board working

It probably would have worked if you adjusted the voltage a little.  I've tried at least 6 different boards on mine without any problems.  Well, other than trying to figure out how to move, move the gun and shoot at the same time on front line.  (I routed the gun movement to joystick 2)

i tired las night on my test bench, i remove the 36 pin:
it didnt work. so i turn it off and crank up the +5 voltage, power the board again , and it work  ...

He he, I'm not as dumb as I look.   

I've replaced all my wired adapters with pcb ones now.  I probably have 25 different ones.  It's easier for me to lay out the adapter pcb than it is to wire one up and of course I can order as many as I want.   I used to sell the extra's occasionally but I'm trying to quit, not enough time.
