Golden Tee Golf??

hello all,

not sure if this is the right place to post this or not, but i was wondering if/when the later versions of Golden Tee Golf are going to be emulated. i know there's a couple versions for MAME, but they're the really old ones... any help?

As long as it's still making money (and Golden Tee is making a ton of it) it's won't be emulated for a while. I bought the PC version and it looks like the real thing in my cabinet.

You can buy the pc version from ITS games or from various places on the internet.  You can also download a demo version of EA Games Tiger Woods golf and try it on your cabinet.  It runs a bit slowly on my cabinet but if I ever upgrade video cards, I will probably pick up Tiger Woods golf.

Don't look for it in Mame.  The reason the older version is in there is it was made by a different manufacturer.

Putting a new Golden Tee rom into MAME will kill the project, ITS would shut it down since they are still making money and that would be piracy.

Get the computer version.  I'm running it in a cabinet with a trackball and its great (plus you can run it at 1024x768 hi res).

BTW we really should start clamouring at ITS for a new home version, or at least updated courses.  I've got the course add on but 3 or 6 new courses and super hi res (as I run a 21" VGA monitor) would be great!
