Console Emulators and Dat / NMS files
« on: July 21, 2006, 09:48:41 am »
I'm updating my Emulation wares and it seems there are DAT and NMS files available for consloe emulators now.  My old setup didn't support these.  Can anyone tell me where to learn more / gain access to these files.  Thanks

Can you elaborate a little?

If you mean like clrmamepro dat files, those have been available for years for certain systems.  The only problem is they are seldom complete or accurate.

Well I updated my system to Mamewah 1.62b10 and there is a commandline in the INI files that asks for a dat file (which I am aware the use of in MAME) and there is a commandline that asks you for your NMS file.  I have no idea what this file was for.  Just wondering what it does and if it is really needed.

Thanks
