according to their tech download your motherboard has two tv outputs right next to the vga plug(i would use the rca phono)so if your board has not got them then its not an original board or perhaps its a completly different model.

You can get an S-video to RCA composite adapter at Radio Shack and maybe even Walmart.
Just video only of course.
And the picture quality will be composite.

Double check on your board itself what Model it is.... should say something like EPIA -V right on it...... the actual "series" of mini-ITX board.

Just to make sure we're looking at the right info for ya also.

I found a manual for the V series, but your e-mail address wasn't working.
It clearly shows the video ports.

it says epia-V10000a on the LTP or whatever ya call the Printer port, thanks for going through all the trouble though, i just really need a quick and easy solution for TV-out...

[EDIT/ADD]
i also have a bunch of cords/cables for composite video etc /S-video that  even came with my card and stuff. when i tried hooking it to my Video card on my desktop it never worked. you think you could explain all that i would need? ive been trying to use it on a S-Video out to S-video on a RF-Switch to my TV. and even tried using an S-video to RCA on my gamecubes LCD.

Is there anything else labeled directly on the green pcb itself?
Where did you get your specs from?

Because that doesn't look the same as the V series I was looking at.
Like you said.... I don't see any video port either.
Should have been right next to the printer port if it were a V series.
You may have to go with the pci video card option.

Well......I take that back..... after comparing the V manual and your pic......it does look like yours has the TV out chip and everything else in the right location.

Is that the right I/O shield?
Maybe the ports are just hiding behind it. ???

I can send ya the manual I'm looking at if you don't already have it.
But need to make absolutely sure it's the right one.

This is the V8000.....
http://www.via.com.tw/download/mainboards/4/8/epia-v-h2.jpg
You can clearly see the RCA connection next to the printer port.
Yours should be exactly like it.

Sounds like somebody swiped it.

That last pic you had is Exactly where it should be...... BUT IT'S NOT THERE.

hmmmmmm..... gonna have to get one or rig one...... but that's where it should be.

I assume they are the same, all the boards in that series looked identical.
You are just flat out missing it.
Does it look like someone removed it?
Or are the solder spots pretty flat and just never been used?

they seem pretty flat (especially under the board)

nah, only a few are... some are bumpy with tiny bubbles... but it doesnt look like someone soldered still

Radio Shack may even have some "surface mount" type connectors for that.
(of course they get worse and worse with time)(Radio Shack)
Or have to rob one from something else.

Flat solder - probably was never there.

i probly couldnt solder a working connector on there any way. would it really be easier with RCA? over S-video? i really need to be able hook this thing to pretty much any TV. just as you would a video game console. thats what im aiming for.

also i dont know if you noticed this. but theres only one IDE type connector, does that mean you have to put a CD drive onto the Slave? and harddrive on the main or no CD drive at all?

If you have any soldering capability it should be easy if you find the right one for it.
Or take it down to a PCshopand explain to themwhat you need, they might be able to hook you up with something.

If you expect to be ableto hook up to "any" TV then you would probably want the RCA.
But you could use that S-video pci card as S- video is very common now, and just also get one of those adapters to have on hand for RCA.

You can slave the CD drive. Get an IDE ribbon cable with the extra connector in the middle. My PC is setup like that.
Go from PC to Harddrive to CD drive on the end.
Master the harddrive.
I'm not the PC guru on that one, but I know it can be done.

Send me your e-mail and I can send this manual to ya.
The one on your profile didn't work for me.
