Quick mock up of art
« on: June 13, 2006, 06:19:38 am »
Ive just been playing around with images and stuff for my cab and i was wondering what you guys think. This is just a quick mock up - I know its low resolution. This was just for me too see what looks good where, I know which parts i like and Im intrested in others opinions.

(I know, it's busy lol!)

That Mario on the side art doesn't fit with the rest of the art. Everything else is super slick illustrated stuff so you can't just throw 1 pixely character on there. It sticks out like a sore thumb. Oh and that thing is too busy too.

Curious what kind of environment this is going in. It's a loud cab and needs to be in an equally loud setting.

Also... how are you going to get this on the cab? It's going to be expensive vinyl ain't it?

Theres no way i was ever going to have it like that, thats mixed ideas and themes, i'm gonna make it all match when I design what it will look like. The room its going in is very loud lol....but i would want it too stand out. And about cost, yeh its going to cost a fair bit, but im not to worried, im friends with someone who owns printers for vynly that size, so it shouldnt be too much!

Thanks

I love how that side art is coming together.  I'm a huge fan of mario and sonic.  The artwork library has a vector version of flying mario from SMB3 that might look good in place of the pixelated one - http://www.localarcade.com/arcade_art/details.php?image_id=406&mode=search
