what d'ya think?

I emailed the guy and he said the picture quality is perfect, and I have no need for a tuner anyway...

Only problem is adjusting contrast/brightness...but I presume there is PC software to do this via the graphics card?

Oh, and one more question...is it better to get a graphics card with a good TV out, or just get a Matrox (very good for 2d) and hook itr straight to a TV (using the VGA port) - my brother has an adaptor which plugs into a VGA card, and has s-video on the other end, so you can connect it up to a tv...

Most cards do have brightness and constrast settings for TV out.

That cable your brother has will only work on a specific video card, unless you have that same card it won't help you.

ATI made cards are reported to be the best consistently for TV-out.
