Jap DC guns and US games
« on: May 04, 2006, 05:09:23 pm »
I've just got hold of Death Crimson OX (US), but it doesn't like my jap official light guns.

It displays a message saying not supported in the US.

Is there a way round this?

I've tried it in my Jap DC and UK DC same problem, I even tried it through VGA still no joy.

I have no problem playing the UK version of confidential mission on my jap dc, I find this quite odd.

Is there a hack that can be done on the controller?
Cheers Eric

Have you tried loading it with the Utopia Boot Disk?

This is one of the games that is very specific which guns are supported. There is a version floating arround on the torrents that support Japanese and PAL guns. Saw it earlier today.

Thanks for the replies.

I'll try to get the utopia boot disk and try that.

I'll keep looking for information about dc light guns.

What I really need is a light gun that works with Death Crimson OX and then compare the jap one with it.
Cheers Eric

Supposedly, all DC guns work in VGA mode.

I'd read that on a thread here but when I tried it through my vga box it still detected the jap gun as not north american.

Does anyone know of a gun that works with DC OX?
Cheers Eric
