Need a demo copy of adobe illustrator 6.0
« on: April 15, 2006, 08:04:20 pm »
hi all, i have macromedia flash 5, and for some reason the artwork i do in it will not print properly. so i exported it in adobe illustrator 6.0 format. i know it will work in newer versions, but im cursed with dialup, so d/ling a 400MB file isnt gonna work. im hoping AI 6.0 will be smaller, but i cant find it. does anyone have it or a link?

Well after a quick search I couldn't find a download for 6.0

But really I think you should still get CS2 its much more improved.  Plus I don't think that the filesize would be extremely different.  And if you have Illustrator you won't need to create your artwork in flash anymore.

Another option would be to go to a local library or school and download it there, then transfer it with a flash drive. And if you don't have a flash drive you should definitely consider investing in one.

Good Luck.

That's not an option, i'm homeschooled and all the libraries here want mad cash for internet use. i'll probably have to bug a friend to get it.

Whoa!   Libraries are charging for internet use?  That doesn't make sense.  I wonder if they charge you to rent books too.  Around here, you just need a library card.

I'd offer to download it for you, but I don't really think that would help your cause.

What is so impossible about downloading 400MB on dialup? It would only take just over a day. I used to get 1.5GB down in a week on dialup with plenty of time to spare! If you started it when you made this post it would be done by now. :)
