Mounting a Happs 27" monitor bezel
« on: February 28, 2003, 02:49:12 pm »
I just got my 27" monitor bezel for Happs and now I need to know how to mount this thing.  Do most people just screw the corners in to blocks of wood attached to the sides of the cabinet?  I want a nice looking solution hopefully one where the screws or fasteners do not show.

Thanks....

I've never done this since I am a n00b just starting to plan a cabinet, but can't you velcro it for easy removal to get to monitor controls?

On my cabinet, which is 27" wide, I cut the bezel and Plexi to be 27 5/8" wide.  I then cut a 3/8" deep slot in each side panel on my cabinet using a router and straight edge.  The bezel and plexi are inserted into the slots.  My slot is a little wider than the thickness of the bezel/plexi combo, so I have some 2x2 scrap screwed to the sides (behind the bezel) to hold the bezel/plexi tight to the front of the slot.

No fasteners visible!
