MameWah snaps
« on: February 19, 2003, 10:56:15 am »
What's the trick to getting snapshots to appear in MameWah? I found a configuration file that looks promising, but I don't know what format it expects.

Thanks,
Rob

I just use the snaps downloaded from the web (png format I believe).
WOrks fine in MAMEWah, there's no real trick I know of.  All you have to do is tell it what directory the files are in (it's an item in mamewah.cfg I think)

As in most fe's I believe you need to extract them, however.....

You need to make sure you have a mame.ini (for windows mame.exe) or mame.cfg if you use dos mame.  MAMEWAH reads the location of your snaps from this file - make sure you have your snaps in the right directory.

And yes, Howards right, they should be unzipped png's.

That's assuming your using MAME - for other emus you can state the snap location in the 'Emulator Options' menu (& jpg's, pcx's, bmp's, gifs or png's can be used).

Let me know if you still can't get it to work...
