Author Topic: Never watch the superbowl with your girlfriend!!!!!! (Read 2432 times)

There I was planning to watch the game by myself, when all of a sudden my girlfriend (that lives with our daughter and me) decides she wants to watch it too. So I say OK no big deal how bad can it be right? Wrong first of all I had snacks sitting on a small table in front of me, what did my daughter on top of her lap decide to do? Stick her little feet under the table and raise them dropping most of my snacks all over the floor. If that wasn't bad enough then my girlfriend decided to get up and she also in her clumsiness drops the remainder of my snacks on the floor (the ones that were still on the table)then........ I was recording it on Tivo. So I was about 15 minutes behind, my girlfriend grabbed the remote when I wasn't paying attention and clumsily pressed the wrong button on the remote which ended up forwarding the tivo all the way to the 4th quarter literally ruining what was left of the game for me. So I just got up and stopped watching the game and now the B**ch is angry at me! Can you believe that?

I'm personally not a HUGE football fan, but I like to sit down and watch the superbowl (good commercials)

But most of my friends will tell you, chicks and football don't mix well (except for the gals that play in underwear...that's a good mix

)

They are either asking questions the whole time, or complaining about something (those cheerleader outfits are too skimpy)

My wife is a big football fan. She watched the game with us just fine and held her own. She probably knows more about the reality of football than most guys do.

I think the bigger issue here is that your woman is apparently not even savvy enough to have good Tivo skills. That is a much bigger problem.

I was gonna watch the superbowl with my girlfriend, but then I remembered two things.

1) I don't like football.

2) My wife won't let me have a girlfriend.

So I ended up arriving at the same destination as you, only my snacks didn't get spilled during the journey.

A 10 year old, 7 year old, and 2 year old don't necessarily make for some good football watching either. But hey, the weekend is playtime so I can't really fault them for not sitting and quietly watching a game that means nothing to us since the Browns weren't in it (as usual). The Pepsi commercials rocked though.

I didnt have wife issues, but my kids were causing issues.

Newborn wanted to be held\fed\played with
2 year old wanted to be held\fed\played with

I was about 1-1/2 hours in tape delay when I finally starting watching it.

Jesus....chill out man. A-#1, it was a pretty mediocre game.....the score was close only one time -- when it was 3-0 at the very beginning. She "ruined" what was left of the game for you, which does suck, but you would have learned the same thing in fifteen minutes anyway. And nothing happened in any fifteen minutes between the third and fourth quarters that changed the fact that Pitsburg was winning and would continue winning until the end of the game.

The "b**ch" is mad at you because you're throwing a temper tantrum like a five year old girl over something that is not a big deal. I think the larger issue here is that you don't treat people who should matter to you with respect and you act like a little princess when things don't go your way.

I'm totally down with this guy getting pissed. I don't think he punched her out or anything, just pissed for missing the third quarter of the game. That would have pissed me off too. Sounds like some of you boys took the ball running on this one.

The moral of this story is that if a particular date/time is *that* important to you, maybe you could have arranged something nice to distract them before hand. Maybe next time you could consider sending the brat to a kiddy class and the g/f to a massage parlour.

That way you get them out of your ---gosh-darn--- way for a few hours AND they come back wanting to thank you.

(huh, the auto-censor is religous too, how about that)

This is so weird. My wife (who lives with me and my kids) watched the game with me too.

Y'know what she said to me during the game?

All the kewl kids use the "enter" button regularly.

I was SO gonna yell at her and go upstairs, but instead, I had another beer.

Do you NEVER buy DVD's or CD's? You know, media that can be watched again. And again?

Uh, reread the box score. The Steelers were up by 3 with the Seahawks at the edge of the red zone in the middle of the fourth quarter.
