solved, thanks

ok, so i didn't know where to put this since it's kinda monitor and kinda software.

i'm trying to format my hard drive so i can start over with my mame machine, but whenever i start the program i got from western digital, it tries to display the program at 42 something at 93 hertz.  i'm running a kortek monitor, but i tried to use my lcd from my comp, but wih the same results.  i even tried reforce, the resolution forcing program, but to no avail.

i had installed the trysinc fix for my avga card and a res tool, but have uninstalled them over the course of trying to fix this.

on my normal comp, the program runs fine at a normal frquency and stuff, but of course, i don't want to format my normal comp.  should or can i just swap out my agp card and hope it sends me the right frequency?  i've got an ati 9800 pro in my normal comp at the moment.

thanks for the help, and sorry if anyone thinks this needs to be in another section.

Hook your hard drive to the slave connection in your main comp and format it using your main pc since windows will just see it as an additional drive and you can format from within windows.
I didn't touch it....honest!

You should be able to so long as your computer is set to boot from the SATA drive first.
