Blacklight arcade art?
« on: February 06, 2006, 10:06:59 am »
I just installed a few blacklights in my arcade room.  Now i'm looking for either some specific blacklight arcade related artwork, or just some type of arcade related stuff/items that look good under a blacklight.  Right now, just a few of my white buttons glow, but i'd like to add some stuff to really stand out....any ideas?  What do you people that already have blacklights installed have for artwork/decoration?

Hi. :) You could get some blacklight paint and go over  parts of you side art. Or do the lettering on you marquee (on top  of the glass)
that way if you don't like how it looks you can remove it.

You could also get some side art ( make sure it has a laminate over it, all of classic arcadegrafix.com's does) and use the b. light paint and a fine hair paint roller to give it a thin coat. ( make sure you use the b. light paint that drys  clear) you can get it here https://www.clearneon.com/blacklight.php  After you paint it you could frame it and hang it on the wall. (If iwas going to do it i would get some frogger side at and paint the frog with green glow paint but thats just me and everyone saays im crazy )

Another thing you can do is make a blacklight fountain. ( spencer gifts has cool ones i like the beer tap one like this http://www.zymetrical.com/product.asp?3=710    To make it glow get a couple of thick highlight markers. remove the ink sticks and cut them into 1 inch pieces. fill the fountain and let the ink sticks soak for a day. then just fish them out and your fountain will be blacklight responsive. Damn I really need a gameroom. :'(

I hope this helps, Ron
