mounting monitor & TV in cab
« on: February 07, 2003, 04:02:22 pm »
Ok here is a somewhat interesting question... or maybe not. .hehe..

I currently have access to a 27" television (RCA I think?) anyhow.. I was thinking on using this for my cab until I could come up with the money to buy an arcade monitor (like a d9200)..

My question is.. how difficult would it be to design the cabinet to accomodate the 27" TV now.. and be able to switch to the D9200 later?

WG doesn't make the horizontal mount D9200's any more so you would have to make top and bottom brackets to mount it a D9200 for the WG universal mounting frame.  The horizontal mount was such that you could just set it on a shelf like a TV.

You could just set a TV on a shelf so it would be pretty easy to put in a shelf for the TV now and build your frame to mount the D9200 just above the shelf later.
What would happen if the whole world farted at the same time?

would it be difficult to make/mount the frame after the cab is already assembled?

I don't see how it would be seeing that if you were planning to do the arcade monitor today you would assemble the cab before mounting the moniter, wouldn't you?
My statements are my own opinions. They have the value that the reader gives them. My opinion of my opinion varies between foolish and brilliant and these opinions often change with new information.

:)  I'm not sure I have never done it before hehe..
but I guess it wouldn't be a problem.. just have to make sure the cab is not too wide to fit through the door
