First off, I am hopeless at website design other than flash based stuff, and even there I'm not that good. I've had a website documenting my arcade machine progress and I added a hit counter to it from
www.bravenet.com. I can check the referring url's to my site from the stats on my account on that site. My website is hosted on freewebs, and I have a dot TK domain. All of my referring url's are either direct hit (typed into the url bar) which is fine, otherwise they are from my domain adress. The hit counter counts hits to my domain adress, not the freewebs adress.
What I would like to know is: Is there a way I can set this up to get the 'proper' referrer url? eg. a google search adress? I don't understand why it doesn't already do this.
Also, does anyone know of a free domain name host service which isn't packed with extra 'click here to continue' pages and popups?
Thanks in advance.
