screen is flipping, rolling vertically......help!

Hello all,

My cab is almost finished save a few minor details one of them being, during my bios and bootskin screen, the graphics are rolling vertically, you know like what used to happen if your vertical hold was incorrectly set in the older televisions. Although this isnt that big a deal during bios, I would like for people to see my bootskin.

I am using a radeon 9600, 8x, with 256 mb built in ram. I am running windows xp. Although I am pretty sure this has to do with windows loading the drivers for my graphics card, I am not sure how to remedy this. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!! The sooner I can get this fixed the sooner I can post pics on this site. Silly me It is a 27" CRT Television. I dont remember make and model off hand. I am connected through s-video. The monitor is also decased. I am using Lusid's design and this is the only way I could fit it.

So you're going through Windows?

Hmmm.

On a lark could you try setting the refresh rate of your output to 60hz?

Your screen is rolling when you boot but not on windows?

I suggest :

- boot on command line version of windows. (i think , if you press F8 or F4 when windows is just starting up , you should reach a menu to choose command line).

- If you can not boot on command line. Try to find a bootable floppy disk and boot under DOS.

I think your screen should still rolling.

While it is rolling try to adjust potentiometer (variable resistor) for Vertical frequency of your Tv monitor. You should be able to stabilize the image.

Do modern TVs even have this?
