So, assuming that one IS interested in helping the mamedevs police e-bay, how would this theoretical one do such a thing?  You probably couldn'y just yell at e-bay, cause you're not a mamedev.  So would there be a report the mame abuse now hotline email address or phone number or something?

Also... lusty, freckle-dappled redheads with long legs, green eyes, huge breasts, and an irish lilt in their voice as they smile, set down a pint of cold dark ale in front of you and ask if there's *anything* else they can do for you.

Bitten by the cabinet bug... obsessing ever since.

Ford Explorers are funny....

They put crappy transmissions in them then decide to give everybody who still has the original tires a free tire replacement to make up for it.

hey Ford people if you ever read this Bring back the Bronco and not that stupid concept version you had a few years ago

What is funny about that?

One is a bad part.  No consequences other than customer satisfaction.

The other is a major safety issue.  Without that recall, it would have been followed by major wrongful death suits and a class action suit.

It is normal business.

I'm just gonna go ahead and assume that this lovely Irish vision is serving beer here in the land of cold lager.

Back on topic, I'd like to say that we can't really police it for the MAMEdevs.

Why?

Go ahead and try to report one of those auctions. See what happens. Nothing. Unless YOU own the IP being violated, Ebay will do nothing. They need to be able to verify the claims, otherwise people would be pulling each others' listings left right and center.

No listing I've reported has ever been taken down.

I used to be a huge hummer fan untill they brought out the H2 and now H3. The reason to love the the orriginal hummer was, it was this mean grizzly hunk of metal that would climb a tree if you wanted it to. Now it looks like a 4 runner.
Put the snorkel on it and you could go through 5ft of water!

http://mamedev.com/contact.html

Nobody should have to deal with ebay.  Just copy/paste some info so the MAMEdevs can find it easily and they will make the judgement call themselves.  That way they can let it slide, ask the person to change a part of it, talk to ebay, whatever.  No need to even "police" ebay.  They just ask that if you happen to see something, let them know.

I kind of like that Bronco btw... with the top on.

yeah that one sounds defective because the trannie is designed to go out at approx. 70,000 miles

Wow.  My 96 Explorer lost the trans in 2002.  Probably dang close to 70k.  Shifted into reverse - bang - had to drive 9 miles down I-95 doing 13 mph on the shoulder cause the stupid thing wouldn't leave first.

A grand to rebuild the trans and it still takes 15 seconds to shift from reverse to drive.

No one is really sure, we just keep writing things and other people keep writing things back.

I am on e-bay about once a night. Checkin for local deals to snipe. It is how I got my Ms. Pac.
I saw a horrid MAME cabinet about 2 weeks back. If was a home brew. It had no bezel just a computer monitor sitting in a big box.

Now today I found this...
Link

It is like a coffin with video games inside. Who needs a high def screen for asteroids.
