bezel problem
« on: December 02, 2005, 09:09:45 pm »

OK.  I've searched the threads for this problem and haven't found an answer.  I am trying to get rid of the on screen bezel for MSPACMAN, MSPACPLS and MSPACMN2.  I have the artwork set to 0!!!!  I am completely aware of how to remove the bezels from games such as 1941, Donkey Kong, etc...  For some reason when I make ini files for the Ms Pacman games they don't remove the bezels when I launch the game.  I have checked the log files and double checked that the ini file name matches the rom name and so on but it just has no effect.  Has anyone ever observed this problem?

Try turning off artwork support in mame.ini If that doesn't work, you have a definite bug.

Additionally, try checking the mspacman.ini file and make sure it isn't set to read-only or whatever dumb setting windows always sets files to. I've had lots of issues in the past with file permissions screwing up the functionality of ini files.
