The law is that I can't make a soda and call it Coke.  I can't make a movie featuring Spiderman and his various enemies without licensing the right from Marvel.  And I can't make a videogame, call it King's Quest, and populate it with King's Quest characters, without being granted the right to do so from the owner of the King's Quest property.

Not to mention that the graphics are subpar and the character design is kinda crappy.  The release of a crappy King's Quest game would damage the King's Quest image and lower the value of the King's Quest property, should Sierra decide, as they surely will eventually, to revisit the series.  Like I said, they would be crazy to let this go forward.

the only people playing it would be people who cared enough to know what it was and download it, i dont see how a free game could hurt. its like those cheap flash games people make of harry potter or whatever, theyre just cheap little games
