Double Axle / Hantarex US250 problem
« on: October 28, 2005, 01:01:22 pm »
Hey guys,

I picked up a very good condition Double Axle cab last week. Only thing is the power supply is broke. Now I could normaly exchange it for something else (like a PC supply) but the problem is that this cab uses a Hantarex US250 power supply, that powers everything in the cab. There is 135V DC going to the monitor, and there's a degauss connection on the PS. Also the marquee lighting is coming from this supply, but it looks like this only puts the mains to the TL light.

I've got the schematics for the Power Supply. I think there's a bad tyristor that protects the output voltage, but there could be more.

Anyone else got some experience with these supplies ?
My real problem is, how do I run the monitor with normal mains voltage when I use a PC supply for the rest of the cab ?

Thx
