Yeah, it really is unbelievable down here.  In fact, I chose to come down here for just that reason: that New Orleans received so much media attention (not to say it's not as f'ed up as Mississippi).  But, in all honesty--there are areas here that are simply gone!

But, interacting with the residents of this town is the real reward. I despise the media coverage of events like this, and it's only through seeing it in person and actually talking to and hearing people's stories do you get an idea of what is really going on here.

Don't mean to bring anyone down here.  In fact, there's actually a lot of humor down here, too.  You just have to look to find it sometimes...
