So, I passed some kidney stones last week. 2 days after passage, and NO more pain or symptoms of them, I feel fine. Sunday comes. Sunday mid-day into the night, I feel mild stomach discomfort. Think nothing of it. Not hungry, didn't eat anything that day other than lunch. Monday, ate breakfast. Figured I just had some bad food, because of....stuff. Not hungry for lunch, but had dinner. Figured I was still feeling the effects of breakfast because of....stuff.
Same thing happens EVERY day this week, with even more loss of appetite daily. Tuesday, I ended up with a fever of 100.8. Took aspirin, it went away. Figured I may have the flu, and I just hope it isn't the bird flu

Yesterday, another fever of 99.6.
Total amount of food eaten over the last 3 days:
2 donuts, 1 chicken leg, 1 burrito from Chipotle. Water up the wazoo. Today, I can't even drink water without....stuff. Same with the food, that little amount of food...stuff. Get in to see the doctor today. It's not my normal doctor, she had a baby and is on maternity leave. This tool of a doctor reminds me of Lurch and has all the bedside manner of a stump. His possible diagnosis is one of 3 things, gastroenteritis, an infection from a kidney stone (probably unlikely, he says) or perhaps gallstones. Have a test for those next week sometime.
In the meantime (and if you can't figure out what I mean by "stuff" without me becoming disgustingly graphic, you soon will) he gives me Prevacid and I have to chase him down after he gives them to me and tells me "take 1 of these and if you're REALLY feeling bad, take 2" AND LEAVES! I have to chase him down and find out HOW MANY TIMES A DAY I should be taking these, and what the heck they're for. I'm told they are for my stomach to help with the symptoms, and how often I should be taking them. Here's where this dunce has cheesed me off.
I can't drink a glass of water without it causing serious adverse reactions. I decided to look up side effects of Prevacid, since he only gave me sample packs and not an actual prescription (which don't list the side effects). Check out these side effects that tell me...oh, I don't know....DON'T TAKE THEM!

Is it just me, or are the first batch of side effects reason NOT to give me this crap, since THOSE ARE MY SYMPTOMS! Anyone notice in that long list of crap that could be a side effect....GALLSTONES! If he thinks I may have them, and it may very well be, why give me something that forms them as a side effect?
Now, obviously I WILL be calling him to find out why the heck these were given to me given my symptoms and the side effects, but I simply HAD to vent on this disgusting topic and if anyone's still reading, does it sound like this guy's as big an idiot to you as he seems to me? It's like my body is seriously breaking down these past 2 weeks and this guy wants to use a bigger sledgehammer!
And don't ask me why I'm sharing this info with you guys. Somehow, someone out there will give me an answer that'll make me laugh and forget how bad this sucks for a moment, and it'll be worth it, even though it won't help my situation. Super-gluing my bunghole shut isn't a viable option. Just wanted to head that answer off at the pass.
