GT2k.  no.. scratch that.. GT Classic (which was the last release on the itech32 driver hardware)

I wouldn't expect to see the Fore! games emulated any time soon since Incredible Technologies still makes a buttload of $$$ off them.

You can get ahold of a Fore, Fore! 2003, Fore!2004, or Fore! 2005 on Ebay for relatively cheap if you build the cabinet yourself.

I've yet to find an RGB -> NTSC Convertor that can display the image correctly on a normal TV however. (note: yes I know it's a MED Res game.  There's a switch to make it Std res also).

I hate golf...even video golf, but I played Golden Tee Live at Starburst (my local arcade shop), and I'm addicted...I've been playing GT2K, but it's just not the same...do you know if they make any PC versions of these games??

The Tiger Woods series from EA is very, very similar.  Golden Tee is obviously simplified for the coin-op scene, but if you avoid all of the details of Tiger Woods, the gameplay is nearly the same.  Plus you get incredible graphics and tons of voice-overs.

I would recommend Tiger Woods 2004 over 2005.  You can probably pick it up very cheaply now.

Yes, you can play it with a trackball.  Very cab friendly once it is set up.  The 3D rendering is very impressive.  You can also play Tiger Woods online.  That is sweet with the cab.

There is a Golden Tee for PC, called "Peter Jackson's Golden Tee Golf".  It is from 2002 by Interplay and is playable with a trackball. It does look pretty good.
