I hear you, and I appriciate the time you took to answer.
I've tried to get the sideart (orange fractal) to match color-wise in Photoshop, but I have yet to get it close enough.
As for the use of three different fractals, I didn't want to use the same one for all.
And as for the font, I kind of like the old-school feel of it.
I'm not a designer, and I don't doubt that somebody with skills that I don't have could make it look nicer.
Again, I appriciate the comments!
Nice != good. (nice does not necessarily equal good) Had I the time... I would create a few variations that could show you that it could be made better by investing more time in layout and typography. I'm not critiqueing arbitrarily here. This design COULD be made better... As the fractals suggest... math can be deceptively dynamic. Unlike the overall layout. As for the font... here it strengthens the "Cliche" feel to the design. That font COULD be used to good effect here... but it currently is not being used to its fullest effect.
The fractal art is beautiful. Using it as a base for a concept it is fine. Using 3 different fractals with different color schemes on each, with weak typography is not tying the concept together in a way that ADDs something to the overal theme, unfortunately. Currently there is no real design... just a picture with some type on it, and that takes away from the power of the background images.
I don't have time to do more than critque... and won't...so jsomthin is on his own other than a few suggestions
