Thought I'd give a mini-update..
1. The main monitor was capped, but not completely, as a result the picture is a LOT more stable, but not as good as I think it could be.. so it's left out again for another 2 weeks, along with the top monitor, at which point I will be _completely_ re-capping both monitors! Included is a picture of what it looks like now (with one of my favourite games loaded..).
2. Finishing touches being added, final things being cleaned and I re-wired the whole mains section (previous owner left pretty much the entire thing as a deathtrap..), including fixing the gaping whole where the power switch used to be (re-mounted now, why he couldnt even wire a power cord in properly is beyond me)..
Machine is just about ready to be called "Completed" now, on the day I'll be putting a History write-up as was suggested by one forum member already, I have it written and will be putting it in the coin box. I never plan to sell it, hell I want it to be buried with me, but in the off chance it does go to someone else at least they will know a bit about where it came from.. I'll also be putting in a sticker, with the cab's name, and date of project completion... with my signature 'acourse, you could argue that its pointless but hey.. its my first machine, im a bit sentimental ;P anyway.. once this machine is done, its onto my next project, Terminator 2. Cant wait to rip into it and get rid of those f'ing spiders..
ADD: Top is before, bottom is after. Sorry about the low quality, all I had of it running was a movie so I had to do a screencap. The quality is hard to tell, but its much better than it was before! And it doesnt roll or jump!
