Looking for info on multi game pcb's

well like the subject says Im looking for info like reviews, opinions, where to buy. Im interested in the 300 in 1 or 400 in 1. I believe these are the ones that have newer games like MkII and the neo geo games. It seems like a while back when I had no interest in these I saw them all over, now that I want one I cant find anything.

Thanks, but I already saw that on the arcadeshop board. It looks like those are more for the older games. Im looking for the asian one that is basically a computer running mame with 300 or 400 games loaded on it. I think there called game box's anyone know where to buy one.

You can get the 300 in 1 and 400 in 1 solutions from Excellentcom. They are the ones with the Neo Geo and Fighters.

I'm having this debate with myself right now.  I'm building a MAME cab for a friend.  He is not a real gamer, more of a guy with cash who likes toys.  I have an Avga and JPAC, and P800 system on hand.  It would take a good amount of work to build him a real mame system, once you add in software configuration, power management, the PC speaker issue, etc etc...

...or, I could just snag him a 300 in 1 board and plug that sucker in in 5 minutes.

I just dont understand why the 400 in 1 is cheaper than the 300 in 1. they say the 300 in 1 multi credit setting is $335 and the game box 400 in 1 w/ fixed credit setting is $268. Does anyone know why?

I have purchased from Excellentcom in the past and they are fast, friendly, etc...

Why the price difference? Don't know... I suspect that the units themselves are produced by separate manufacturer's but they'd have to tell ya for sure.

The 400 in 1 is what is called 'GAMEBOX' a friend of mine has one and they are pretty straight forward. It has a front end in front of MAME. The unit itself is a modified PC with a JAMMA interface. It boots up in a matter of seconds and can be powered off without shutdown routines, etc. I'd suspect the front end is a modified version of Game Launcher runnning in DOS or something similar. The games that are on it are ones that most of us would pic to play. The 400 in 1 is also all HORIZONTAL games.
