I remember seeing a few cabs on eBay still in their original shipping crates, untouched by human hands. Can't remember what games they were now, but needless to say they went for ridiculous money.

I wonder if whoever bought them took them out of the crates or would that destroy it's value?

Can't say I'd buy a Dig Dug. The game play just isn't there, it is better suited for a multi-cade.

The new-in-box theif and robotron cocktail went for huge amounts of money. I think there may have also been a NIB computer space, or that could have been a wet dream I had.

My DigDug is was actually nicer than that from Ebay, but I did have to put on a new CPO(old one had faded in certain spots).

My point was, as mint as the cab is, I wouldn't buy a Dig Dug anyway. I think you missed that I posted the cab in the first place, so I already knew the cab was drool worthy. Just not worth any money/space, because its, uh... dig dug.

I don't get why people feel the need to restate their opinion if someone differs from it.. e.g. "clearly you didn't read my post, reread it".

I think the cabinet itself is worth having, even if you don't like the game. I like the game, too, so I would buy this cabinet if I had the money and it were close to me.

Are you guys looking at a different auction than I am?? The one I'm looking at has some pretty significant chips along the bottom! And those photos could be a lot better than they are, so I'm sure there's plenty of damage you can't even see in the photos.

Most of my games are nicer than that one, and I wouldn't call any of them mint.

I have yet to come across a machine anywhere that doesn't have some type of minor chipping... It's not perfect, but it's a hell of a lot better than anything most of us will find.

I guess I know too many people with really nice machines. I see a lot of games that are indistinguishable from one just out of the box.

That Dig Dug has chipping along the back of it too. Basementarcade on klov had a Dig Dug that I thought looked nicer than this one (and had better pics) for $400 a while back.

I almost never see machines better than that one, even my own. Most people are only able to find fairly beaten up machines, things that have been on route a long time or in someone's gameroom with 4 teenagers kicking it around.

I've never seen a real Dig Dug myself. There are very few arcades here and the ones we have are 90% redemption. We haven't had real arcades here in a LONG time.

Many of those things are gigantic and did not go where these pins went. EMs went to places like pizza parlors. How are you going to put that gigantic puck bowler or periscope thing in a corner pizza joint? Those things generally cost a LOT more than pinball machines, too.

There's a reason so many EM pins are still around while very few of those other games are.
