Dreamcasts in Australia
« on: August 08, 2005, 03:57:21 pm »
Hey guys,

Does anyone know where I can find and buy a Dreamcast console in Sydney Australia other than off ebay? I saw the deal at EBgames.com, but unfortunately the advert specifically states that they do not ship to Australia  :P

Cash Converters? The ones near me usually have them
(a bit overpriced though... were about $100 last I saw?)

Don't know if the EB stores would have them too?

Called a few cash convertors, they no longer accept them in. And EB's don't take them in either. Shame that the ebgames.com offer for $20 will not ship to Oz.

I know you're not after ebay sales, but I picked a unit up from AU ebay for AU$ 80 plus postage with two controllers.  I got another 4 pack of controllers for AU$20 ($5 a piece), two of which I'll be hacking into arcade controls for a cabinet.

Otherwise your only option is to find a kind soul who'll be willing to buy a unit and post it to you from the States.

If you become desparate I can ship a DC  to you in Ozland. $20 USD + actual shipping to Oz.

Woohoo! I managed to find one at a decent price, snapped it up quick smart! With a light gun as well and the original for House of the Dead 2! One more gun and Bleem! Point Blank and I will have the perfect setup :-)

I picked up mine for $50 including two controllers so $60 is not too bad.

Dreamcast doesn't have "Point Blank".  Only PSX does.  There is a Dreamcast port of "Bleem!" (PSX emulator) however which will allow PB play.

Any PSX, PSone or PS2 will play an original copy of PSX Point Blank (1, 2 and 3 are all available) with almost any of the Guncon compatible light guns out there.  I have all three on my PSX with two original Namco Guncon units, and it's a hoot.
