x arcade surface repair - DONT FLAME!

(1/2) > >>

Basicly I have an x-arcade and the bottom corners have been chipped meaning that I can see the wood as the lamanate or whatever they use has been damaged.

These are only small chipped areas but I was wondering what I could use to repair this. Would paint work or stand out like a sore thumb. Maybe some sort of tectured contact paper? Problem is they dont sell contact paper here in the UK.. any suggestions?

I don't really have an answer for you, but...

How is that even possible?

Lilwolf:
I probably wouldn't try to fix them.  Mainly because having arcade quality controls will seem like a huge hack job at the end.

Buttons are a buck or two.  Just replace them.

I don't believe you will ever have a 'fix' that will look all that good.  And it sounds like they are still functioning so its mainly cosmetic fix anyway.

So, deal with it or spend 10 bucks to replace them.

Well I'm not sure what Lilwolf was on when he posted but I think he misread your thread and thought your buttons were chipped!

The one thing I can think of that might help would be the laminated floor repair kits you can get in B&Q. They might possibly do the trick.

What's the colour you are trying to match? (Oh, and a pic might help too.)

Yeah i'll have some of what Lilwolf's on too!

The colour is actually black, the same colour as the regular x arcade design, although only my sides and bottom parts of the stick are damaged so I could opt for a different texture, but I want to stick to black all the same.

Im wondering whether I could get away with it with a flat paint.. they are only small areas of damage
