Depends.  Unless you hack your tivo you can't get the video files off it and burn to dvd.

Not true anymore.  Tivo released 'Tivo-to-go' a while back.

Tivo to go, the Home Media Option, and pretty much all of the cool Tivo extras are not available to DirecTV subscribers.  DirecTV has disallowed them from being loaded onto DirecTivos and has no plans of changing that.
