So I discovered "summer ale" last night

I never was much of a beer person, but I'm down in atlantic city (as usual =p)  and i just destroyed the blackjack table in like 20 minutes i was up 500$ and i walked. It sucked cause i really felt like playing more but you gotta know when to stop, and starting from 300 i went to 800 good enough for me. So I go grab a cigar at the cigar shop to celebrate, my friend brought his own cuban heh. 2nd time ive smoked a cigar and i actually enjoyed this one much better cause i knew how to and wasnt choking lol. We hit this bar, and lately I dont know why I just always order a sam adams cause it just sounds cool haha, and i can actually kind of stand it, i normally hate beer. But i got a "summer ale" on draft, and it was the best thing ever. I dunno if it was some combination of the cigar and the beer but i was actually liking the taste of beer which is very weird for me.

So anyway, you beer experts out there, whats a similar tasting beer for places that dont have sam adams summer ale on draft, cause i had a sam adams later on upstairs at a different bar and it was just normal draft, and it wasnt half as good

Pete's Wicked, as good as Sam Adams and has much more variety of flavors.

i actually enjoyed this one much better cause i knew how to and wasnt choking lol.

  You'd probably enjoy any Belgian wheat.  Only stay away from Coor's version: Blue Moon.  That's a poor excuse for beer.  See if you can find Hoegaarden.  That's a pretty decent beer that's relatively widely available.

yeah thats what originally turned me off to beer, i drank coors light and im like wtf this is watered down crap taste in a can. The higher quality beers seem to be ok though

You know the commercials where they show a rocky mountain stream and spout off about how they use only the purest spring water to make their beer?  Well, that is what it tastes like.  Like they didn't put anything ELSE in it.

Stay away from Coors and Budweiser.  Bud is better but has about as much alcohol as Pepsi.  Of the mass produced light beers, Miller Lite is probably the best bet.  Good taste, low calories, 4% or more.  All of these new "low carb" beers are just trying to be what Lite has always been.

If you're coming from hard drinks to beer, check out Ice beers.  Bud Ice is the one Bud I'll drink, but Molson Ice is the real gem in the widely available Ice brews.

Shiner Bock has a taste that is similar to Sam Adams. Michelob Amber Bockis pretty good and is about my favorite of the big brewery American stuff, most of which is like making love in a canoe. For the most part I drink imports, at least when given a choice. Coors is foul in all of it's manifestations, that's a beer made for laying down and avoiding.

Does it actually have a strawberry flavor?  I ask because I bought a cherry beer recently from my liquor store and it tasted like cherries, and was revolting.

I was at a party recently where some kind of peach beer was available. Just the thought made me want to yark. I can't imagine how disgusting that stuff must have been.

Nothing wrong with fruit in certain styles of beer.  Wheat beer is probably the most common, since it has a naturally fruity flavor.  The yeast that is special to wheat beers, especially hefeweizen, often imparts a subtle banana to the malted wheat.  Add some peach or cherry and you have a beer that's perfect for certain occasions. 

Just watch out for beers that are excessively sweet. 

The natural sweetness of the fruit should have fermented out, unless you have such a high proof drink that the yeast cannot stay active or the yeast has been pasteurized or filtered into oblivion. 

Many alcoholic drinks made in the USA, especially Woodchuck Cider (off the top of my head), use "natural flavors" to enhance the sweetness of the drink.  Real fermented cider is not that sweet, but with a really nice apple flavor.  If you carbonate it, it's a nice alternative to dry champagne.  Natural flavors are just artificial flavors by another catalyst.  They just don't taste right, if you ask me, although some natural flavors are incredibly similar to the real thing.

I have to admit that I haven't tried Strawberry Blonde in my discerning years.  I will definitely give it a sample soon.

If there is a local microbrewery get a sampler.  One of the micros I visited did this.  The waitress came out with size 6oz glasses each filled with a different beer the micro made.  Great way to try out stuff.

I just don't know why people always say this.... I LOVE jersey girls.  There is just no comparison.  You need a little attitude in your women IMO, and as long as you have some common sense you can steer clear of the sluts/idiots/etc just like anywhere else.

Jersey girls DO tend to have an attitude like I said, but its just a little spunk, assuming they are a level headed girl.  You seem to have met some crazy bitches who soured your opinion of all Jersey girls.  And even my "jersey girls have attitude" is a stereotype, although that one extends to a much larger portion of females in the state.
