This is insane, higher price than when you order a brand new one (new version) from Ultimarc.....
I thought that there were actualy some more problems with the old (7000 based) version ? This guy is claiming the opposite
TurboC--:
Plenty of liars and ___holes on ebay. And morons who pay more than things are worth! There was an auction that ended on Saturday for a "never used" newer ArcadeVGA, and the ending price was like $102! It included the cable, but together they only cost $95 new! Idiots!
Anyway if people can comment on the new/old versions of ArcadeVGA, I'd like to know what the differences are.

The new one is based on a newer 9000series Radeon, the older one was based on a 7000series Radeon. Therefore the new card is better for 3d-accelerated stuff...for just MAME it should be roughly the same.
Also, the new card has more 60hz modes, which some people prefer using with MAME. I have the original AVGA, but I would say the new card is certainly better.

It would be sweet if Andy could give a reply.
AceTKK:
Yea, the newer cards are based on a more powerful 3d card. If you ever want to run 3d PC games on your cabinet (Virtua Tennis or Tiger Woods golf come to mind) then the newer cards will give much better performance.
