my kids have been collecting fireflies every night this summer.......


I may have to get them involved in a project like this.....

As a kid in NS, it was so freakin dark at night you couldn't walk the road without fear of going into the ditch.  We would have fireflies, though, hundreds of them on any given night.

Same deal out where I live. On a moonless night you can't see your hand in front of your face. Tons of fireflies though. This summer seems to have produced an unusually high number of 'em.

Are ther no fireflies in florida?  :(  When I lived in Indiana there were plenty.  We called them lightning bugs.
