Building a pong console?
« on: July 11, 2005, 06:33:42 pm »
I've been looking into building an original pong setup lately. I'm wondering if anybody has any tips for which schematic/kit to use. I'm looking for something like the old Heathkit/Radio Shack ones from the mid-70s. I know you can still find commercial pong consoles (I have a few), but I want to actually build one. Thanks!

It uses buttons instead of paddles!

I had never seen that one, but I have to agree with Samstag, pong with buttons is just wrong.

Yeah, I've seen that site before. I was really looking for something that included the parts and board.

Had to do a search of my own posts... but I found one... supposedly, you can order pretty much the entire kit here...

"Joysticks now replace the horrible rotary controls used on the original game."

You've just gotta scream when you read that.

Oh well.
There is SO a spoon.
