AdvanceMAME and/or DosMAME
« on: December 15, 2002, 04:50:44 pm »
Hi group :

I have a cabinet with a Hantarex MTC9100 arcade monitor and a TNT2 M64 graphic card.
I run in it ArcadeOS with DosMAME and AdvanceMAME.Why I don't use only one of them??
This is my question.
When I run DosMAME the horizontal games are display very well, but the vertical games no.
When I run AdvanceMAME, the horizontal runs bad and the vertical well.
I know is a bad configuration of the video modes in AdvanceMAME, but I can't do any more.
I follow the instructions in http://easymamecab.mameworld.net
When run the advcfg utility, after select the monitor,I can't view an stable screen for center it.
I use the monitor controls but doesn't nothing.
What's happening??What I have to do??
ThanXX.

Have you tried specifying different video modes in the configuration file? They're described on this page:

http://advancemame.sourceforge.net/doc-advv.html

(vge, svgaline, vbeline, vgaline, etc.)

I had found that specifying different ones yielded different results similar to what you're talking about. (incorrect stretching, games looking wierd.)

Give that a whirl and see if it helps. ;D
