Replacement Game Cases?
« on: June 27, 2005, 01:24:32 pm »
I'm looking to replace some of my beat up PS2 game cases... anyone know a good source for these? I know you can use plain DVD cases, but I'd like official ones with the built in memory card holder. I tried the Sony store (bleh), a few web searches. No luck so far...

Also how about completely clear CD jewel cases? I can find ones with the black insert... fairly easy, but now a lot of CD's use clear inserts to feature artwork behind the CD on the inside. Any good sources for getting these?

For anyone looking about Gamecube stuff...

I know you can buy Gamecube replacement game cases straight from the Nintendo store, same with their component cable... which is awesome and works with a lot of Gamecube titles. Make sure you have an older Gamecube if you want one of these, newer versions don't have the digital out socket to use this cable for HDTV.

I cant really aid you in your search for PS2 cases, however I have seen a ton of blue dvd cases on ebay recently.  I purchased a few in order to color code my library.  ;)

If you find a source, please let us know.

I've got about ?12? that I'll sell ya...  LMK
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

Go to your local blockbuster and talk to the manager.  They throw game cases out like there's no tomorrow, and if you're nice about it, they should have no problems giving you some.

My friend used to work at a Blockbuster and he constantly came home with "official" PS2 and Xbox cases, among ordinary DVD cases.
first off your and idiot

Man I love the internet, haha.

Good idea with that one...  I know they replace the retail cases with Blockbuster branded ones. Never thought to ask. I'll give that a shot sometime... thanks for the suggestion.

Still would ideally want a retail source, but it looks like it might not happen...
