WG D9200 vs. Neotec
« on: October 16, 2002, 03:36:51 pm »
Advice please..

I am trying to decide between the following two monitors for my latest MAME cabinet:

Wells Gardner D9200 - 27" VGA arcade monitor
- - or - -
Neo Tec NT-2738 - 27" SVGA flat screen monitor (http://www.neotecgraphic.com/)

From pure specs, the NeoTEc seems better (although it is a bit more expensive).  But there are two things that I am considering
1. the WG D9200 has more of an arcade look and feel to it (not sure if I should care)
2. the WG D9200 will go all the way down to 15khz for the older arcade games (does this matter?? not sure)

If anyone has either compared these two or owns either one - please provide any feedback or recommendations.

Thanks,
Marco

yeah.9200 can play actual arcade games that requires 15 khz.its 2 inch bigger and seriouslly..i never seen neotec yet but 9200 look awsome.only draw back..its little too big and wont fit 25" cabinets(25" cabinets have about 24" wide inside where you fit the monitor)..MAKE DOUBLE sure you cabinet inside is atleast 25" wide.the total width is 25"(d9200) i think but 27" viewable if you mesure it diagonal.

no one knows about neotec unless somene buys one then reports back but if i were to guess..should be "another" great monitor.
