Newbie project!
« on: June 19, 2005, 10:14:45 pm »
This is my very first arcade project and I am learning on the way. I acquired an empty arcade cabinet and coin door for $20. Since then I have been working on making it a Mame machine. This is my current progress. I Bought the marquee and controls off of eBay and the plexi bezel from arcade shop. The bezel looks weird because it still has the protective sheeting on it. I built my own control panel and had Kinko's print a design that I had. (Basically the Galaga CPO but with extra buttons and another joystick)

Good work, I guess there wasn't any side art under there somewhere?

It was an original pacman cab but somebody had put formica on the sides and front. I read something on the forum that said it is nearly impossible to recover it. I didn't want to ruin the cabinet by pulling it off and I didn't want to buy the pacman art in the future because it is really expensive.

Its a multicade bezel from arcade shop. I got it because it had the same theme (space) as a galaga but cost a lot less than a used galaga bezel and was brand new.
