Does this make any sense to anyone?
« on: June 05, 2005, 02:08:52 pm »
I have been setting up my machine for some time now using my current 1GHz athlon processor using all the other hardware i intend to use in the arcade.  But now i have sync and advmenu is loading and running games on my pc but when i add it to the (200 mhz dell optiplex PI) i intend to use for the arcade machine i get no video signal! Any suggestions?

Same video card in both?

Newer dells are well known for on-board video chips that have absolutely no 15.75KHz compatiblity. However a 200 MHZ dell is so old, I have no idea if it had on board video or not.

If you're not using the same video card however that is probably the first thing to look at.

Yup, same video card, graphics card and hard drive.  Graphics card is an ATI rage II pro.

Is the proccesssor an AMD? Older AMD chips were well known for having compatablility issues with ATI vid cards. Try the cab with another monitor and see if it works could tell you if its a vid card prob or a problem dealing with that specific display. Good Luck!!
