Hey man. It's looking real good. I am excited to see how it goes. I am no art major but I think and I can't say this for all cabinets but it screams for painted side art. Are you going with T molding? BTW I too am building my cabinet with a beer hosewater budget. It can be done and nicely. Good luck :)

I already have vinyl sideart so I will be using that.  And yes, it will have T-moulding, I ordered some the other day it just hasn't arrived yet.

Nice! You actually built a cabinet, I only have converted cabinets.
WTB: The Grid by Midway (2001), looking for 2 or more complete games, and large marquee

Looks great! I assume that the joysticks are not yet installed in that last pic -- either that, or you're going to use mind control to move your players on screen.

Well I haven't yet updated my progress on my website, but here's a photo of my cabinet now:



I sanded and painted it today, and applied the graphics.

Looks really good.. i like the side art.. i'm almost done building my first cab.. and i haven't decided on side art.. but yours makes me what to get back to the drawing..er..photoshop board... 8 )
