Couldn't you put it on a piece of paper or something similar and place it IN the fiberglass, under whatever is the finishing layer?

Sure, but the finish is just paint, which would obviously cover it. I guess you could do this on the inside. But like you said, there would always be a way to defeat any type of reproduction markings that you tried to incorporate.

Just make them with an extra "hump" somewhere, ar slightly smaller or something.

Without something to take a mold from, I'd imagine it would be about 50x more work.

True.  Can you do fiberglass around something made of clay?   Seems like a model could be made up.  Particularly if you were looking for a mini/bartop version.

ChadTower:
Do you know how much 7 feet of clay weighs?
