It's what those wacky Brits call a wrench, for the benefit of those who don't want to bother looking it up.

Buy a British car sometime. The restoration manuals require a lot of translation until you learn the terminology. A wrench is a spanner, the hood is a bonnet, the convertable top is a hood, the fender is a wing, the trunk is a boot...
