Using emulation software, it will let anyone with a PC and a broadband connection play classic games from older consoles like the NES and Genesis, as well as older arcade and PC games.

WTF!!!

Id like to see how much it cost. Because this could make owning a Mame machine with ROMs legal.  Because the way I read it you downloaded the games to your PC. Its not like Dish Network games where the games are brought in thru the satilight and not saved.  I wonder what caliber of games they will have and I wonder what ULTRACADE thinks of this.  Since they spent so much money on getting the roms.

...so far I tried out Cablevision's "game channel" on Long Island...AWFUL!!!....the load times are bad....the games SUCK beyond belief....and the one or two classics (ex. Asteroids) just stink using a remote control that's supposed to change your channels.

Unless they eliminate (or shorten) load times....AND offer a custom wireless game controller...this service will never make any money.

They charge $4.95 for 24 hours use of a game....why bother if you already own a PSP, PS2, XBox etc. etc.

Seriously. Will it fit in my basement or what?
